I have always beleived that God wanted me to have whatever I wanted. I don’t know why I believe that and it doesn’t matter. It is just what I believe. That thought process has served me well in my lifetime. I have a great life with lots of blessings. I attribute that to God helping me out and my Father teaching me that you have to get out and make things happen.
My wife gave me a book a couple of months ago called Becoming a Millionaire, God’s Way. I loved the book and set out to have a talk with the author Dr. Tom Anderson. I finally got to talk to Tom and he also agreed to be on the show.
Tom is the Pastor of the very large Living Word Bible Church in Mesa AZ. I hope you will listen to this discussion because there are some very practical ideas about how to turn your financial life around.
Tom explains to us that all of the people that helped Jesus were considered wealthy. I didn’t know that but it makes sense. He adds, ”Rich people will follow rich people and poor people will follow rich people. But rich people don’t follow poor people.”
There are some great tips in this discussion about prosperity. Tom says that the word he received was not to teach prosperity. Teach how to do it.
If you are looking for a segment to listen to. This is the one.

Our show today is centered around people that don’t believe they have options. Our society tells us that in order to be successful, you have to get a college degree. With the rising costs of college tuition and the cutbacks in available slots, many people don’t believe that college is a viable option for them anymore.
Our guest today is the creator of www.BlueCollarandProudofit.com. Joe Lamacchia started off working in the landscaping business now he owns one. You will find in this interview that even though he owns the company, he is no stranger to a shovel.
Joe started Blue Collar and Proud of it just to make a point that blue collar means skilled worker. The people that rise up in his profession have the same stuff that the successful people you know have. They take pride in their work, they finish what they start and they work hard. Simple advice but when applied to the blue collar lifestyle it can make for a very good life without thousands of dollars in student loans.

As a baby boomer, I remember college but I don’t remember all of the attitudes and dreams for the future I had back then. I do remember that I planned to make it big and help the world.
A couple of months ago I did a talk for the SIFE club at the business school at Seattle University. While there, I met a whole bunch of intelligent, motivated and thoughtful individuals who are using free enterprize as a way to make this a better planet for everyone. Their goals struck a chord with me and I decided to help them in any way I could.
Today we have three of those students on The Money Thing Roundtable. If you have any doubts about what our country will be like in their hands, you should listen to this show. I have no doubt that when they become the decisionmakers, we will see change in our system that will benefit everyone without penalizing those that are successful.
The Seattle University SIFE club needs your help. For more information about SIFE and their mission, go to www.SIFE.org.
If you have a project that you need help on or if you have a business that could help them please contact any of our roundtable participants this week.

Please do what you can to help this group. Your efforts with them will be amplified like you won’t believe.

I am always looking for ways to help our listeners make changes in their financial situation. There are lots of things out there promising immediate results with no pain. Most of these are ripoffs. If you spend your time and/or money on them, you will lose.
This week we are investigating the United First Money Merge account. This program will help you pay down your mortgage in a shorter amount of time and substantially lower the amount of money you pay in interest. Our guest is Morgen Jackson and he does a good job explaining how all of this works. He will be doing the same free analysis for me that he will do for you.
You can reach Morgen at 877-246-2804. His website with email link is www.LiveFreeandClear.com.

As The Money Thing radio show expands to 2 hours, each week in the second hour we will bring in local experts to discuss a topic of interest to our listeners.
I fully believe by fixing the housing market we will fix the whole economy. The current administration is doing some things to help but they need to go much further. With that being said, there is a tremendous amount of opportunity out there for everyone. Whether you own a home or you rent, you have options that you don’t know about. The only way to find out is to talk with people who know what they are.
For our Roundtable this week, we have three people who really know the local market and share their experience and knowledge of what is going on today and what they expect for the future.
Take a listen. I’m sure you will find something in the discussion you did not know about.
Here is the contact information for our guests:
Corey Gladwell - Timberland Realty Group 425 343-5231. CoreyG@TimberlandRealtyGroup.Com
Jeff Carroll - Carnegie Holdings Corp 206 853-7028 CarrollJeff26@gmail.com
Heather Parker - Old West Mortgage 425 252-1121 Heather@OldWestMtg.com
If you have ideas for future Roundtable discussions or would like to be a member of our Roundtable, please email me at Howard@TheMoneyThing.com

All we seem to hear about lately in the media is that things are bad and that the cost of things are going up. So what!
There are people out there that know how to work the system and get things, like groceries cheap. One of the leading experts in the country on how to get things cheap or even free is Jaci Rae. She has been all over the media and has become famous as the go to person to learn how to do it.
Jaci is on the show today to tell us how she does all of the research and gives the information out on her websites. This is a really fun interview that helped me learn about how to cut my own budget in many areas including college tuition costs.
For more information on Jaci Rae and her brilliant ideas, go to www.JaciRae.com or www.pennymeals.com.
